Learn about how AM Design partnered with a great non-profit to enhance their online experience.

Client Profile:

PureMission is a non-profit organization created to support a “God sized” vision that is centered on the operation of an Orphanage in Malawi Africa called Esther’s House. The orphanage currently cares for 51 children with more to come. Future plans call for a medical training center, expanded feeding programs, a school and a guesthouse for volunteer teams to stay while serving.

Challenge:

Esther’s House is a wonderful project that is supported by individuals and therefore funds were limited from the very start. PureMission needed an effective solution that would allow for the promotion of their cause, an easy to manage solution for profiling special projects, orphans and missionaries in need of sponsorship and a low cost ecommerce solution to handle the transactions and generate much needed revenues. PureMission also had great vision for a solution that would leverage social media promotional elements and even had a generous donor who presented a $10,000 challenge grant if the organization could gather 10,000 new Facebook fans in ten days!

Solution:

AM created a custom web solution including our own CMS, empowering PureMission to fully manage their content rich, dynamic web site. The site features a dynamic Facebook fan feed, a press release manager that feeds the latest stories from the field to their home page, and ecommerce enabled project, orphan and missionary profile managers to fully manage those ever-changing databases. PureMission is now able to do much more with much less than ever before and their only ongoing cost to maintain our solution is low-cost web hosting.

Results:

AM teamed up with PureMission to help them achieve 10,000 fans in 10 days and they now have just over 15,000 fans. Almost half of the 51 children in their care now have sponsors. The future is bright for PureMission and now they have a solution to continue the story.

Cool story. I am just about to take on a second non profit organization for web development. I won’t be charging anything but it will be a fun project.

Keep up the good work AM DESIGN! Even though I am a one man shop your website inspires me to always make my next project better!

this was really helpful! I’m in the middle of pushing out a new redesign for children’s relief int’l ‘s frontpage. I love how this so simple and visual. Do you feel like that’s the most impactful way to push non-profits? I can appreciate the emotional value in the design. Man, I’d love you guys’ feedback one day! Props!
