Site Management Made Easier

There are several reasons we decided to revisit the design and structure of our content management system (CMS). But the bottom line is that we wanted to make it easier on YOU, the ones who are actually managing the content.

The new AM CMS 3.0 was built with an emphasis on usability and consistency. It also uses more familiar and user-friendly options like drag controls, modal popup windows and other features that are streamlined and more up-to-date with what is now possible with CMS interfaces.

We still have the standard features that you have come to know and love, but here are a few of the updated features (many of which we will elaborate on in subsequent posts) that we have implemented in the new design:

Structure is Key

Structure allows you to organize your entire site map for the site, incorporating pages from your CMS, as well as customizable links to other pages or websites.

Multi-site Management

Users have the ability to manage multiple websites in a single CMS installation. As an added bonus, all of those sites share a common media library, which means any image or video uploaded is available to use on any site within the same CMS installation.

Access Granted on Multiple Levels

Permissions are broken down into 4 basic levels – Manager, Editor, Author and Contributor. Each level has difference privileges for editing content.

Scheduled Content Publishing & Versioning

The pages within the CMS include the ability to control when that page gets published, and during the editing process, changes are saved so that you can retrieve an older copy to make minor updates or to republish.

Enhanced Media Library

We have implemented a host of new user-friendly controls for uploading, viewing and attaching media to pages within your CMS. It’s as easy as 1-2-3.

Advanced modules

We have created a large collection of modules that can be easily plugged into any CMS installation (including: Sermons, Forms, Events, Podcasts, etc.). If there is something specific that you need, custom modules can be built to meet your organization’s goals.

Stay tuned for more detailed information on the features of the AM CMS 3.0 – it just keeps getting better!
